We are an organization that believes in the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms that apply to all Canadians; including children and grandparents.
Our association consists of Nova Scotia residents that share this belief and want to work together to improve the level of rights assured to grandparents in Nova Scotia. Many members have first hand experience in dealing with issues related to the grandparent and grandchild relationship and wish to share those experiences in the cooperative and supportive environment that our association provides.
We encourage everyone to consider the relationship they have with their grandparents or grandchildren. Upon this consideration think about how having that relationship severed would impact both parties in the relationship. If you believe, as we do, that this relationship is valuable to our society then you understand why our association exists.
